PROGRESS: The Impact of NRF/NSF Early Career Faculty Programs |
The objective of the session is to inspire the next generation of signal processing researchers and educators by showing them success stories from the NSF/NRF early career programs, providing both an opportunity for these awardees to describe the long term impact of early career NSF/NRF funding on them and to provide an inspiration to early career academic bound students, researchers and faculty in the audience. The session would be open to all, but is targeted at junior faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students. The session will be moderated by representatives from the US National Science Foundation and the National Research Foundation of Korea. After brief introductions by the moderators of the NSF and NRF the respective early career funding programs, the session will have short presentations by each panelist offering perspectives on their early career funding from NSF or NRF and how it has impacted their research and education careers. These presentations will be followed by a question and answer period where everyone attending the session will have the opportunity to engage the speakers and moderators. |
