Guidelines

We are inviting proposals for Mini-Symposia at EMBC26. Mini-Symposia are dedicated to talks and panel discussions from leading researchers. Mini-symposia should be 90 minutes long (similar to oral sessions) and they should include a list of speakers related to a current topic of interest which is relevant to EMBC. Inviting some speakers from the industry is encouraged if possible. Technical or scientific topics within biological and biomedical engineering, medicine, health care, clinical applications, and nontechnical talks e.g. biomedical education, research funding, entrepreneurship, or technology transfer are welcome.

Proposal Submission

Mini-Symposia proposals should be submitted by Friday, 16 January 2026 through the links at the bottom of this page. Your proposal should include the following information:

The speakers are not expected to submit papers related to their mini-symposium talks, and their talks will not appear in the proceedings of the conference.

Mini-Symposia Logistics:

Organizers of EMBC 2026 mini-symposias will be responsible for being present to facilitate their sessions, providing any materials required, and promoting their scheduled mini-symposia in collaboration with the society.

The EMBC 2026 organizers will handle mini-symposia registration and allocation of facilities.
