Abstract
In this paper, we implement an intelligent antenna array integrated with UHF-RFID tag chips, which brings simplified structure and presents numerous possibilities for application in the RFID system. The practical utilization of an antenna array often incurs high costs due to its structural intricacy. Through the incorporation of RFID tag chips into the antenna array, we eliminate the demand for additional control networks and power supply networks, thereby substantially streamlining the structure of the antenna array. Additionally, the RFID tag chip integrated into the antenna array serves as a reference tag for phase calibration, consequently expanding the applicability of the antenna array in the RFID tag positioning. We apply the designed intelligent antenna array to the angle of arrival estimation of backscattered signals from RFID tags, and achieve accurate estimations of arrival angle.
